Aerial drone inspections across Western Canada
Ionit’s home base is Medicine Hat, perfectly located for wind turbine and solar farm inspection across Southern areas of Alberta, Saskatchewan, and British Columbia. However, we have a fleet of drones and pilots ready to disperse anywhere across Western Canada at a moment’s notice.
We have developed price structures for single jobs, projects based, and multi year contracts. We understand that each project is unique unto itself so we gear our reporting procedure to meet our clients individual needs.
Thermography for the detection of rotor blade damage on wind turbines
The most common damage to rotor blades includes cracks, erosion damage and internal structural damage. Unlike erosion damage such as paint damage or superficial roughening, cracks occur both internally and on the surface.
In particular, internal damage such as delamination or detaching adhesions cannot be seen or quantified with the naked eye, even at close range. Thermography is a powerful tool that can be utilized in the detection of these cracks.
